About the Designer
I have been designing jewelry for three years. Before that I was a designer using the elements and principles of design including scale, color, line, shape, texture, balance, contrast, repetition, dominance, and proportion for over twenty years as a landscape designer and consultant Gardenesque. As I have gotten older I have decided to work in a different design area that is not so strenuous. Jewelry design allows me to use my full range of design abilities to design and craft one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces for you just as I designed one-of-a-kind landscape designs for my landscape clients.
The Galleries
The jewelry galleries include well-made, bead and metal jewelry using semi-precious gemstones, high quality glass beads, TierraCast lead-free pewter, goldfilled, or sterling silver metal components. Most of these pieces are one-of-a-kind designs. You'll never see your necklace or bracelet on someone else. In this day of mass production, isn't it nice to be able to purchase and wear something that no one else has? I think so.
The galleries have pictures of my designs and all of the information you need is right there to help you make your decision. You may purchase my jewelry by using Paypal or by sending a money order. When using Paypal, use the "Add to Cart" button under each jewelry item you wish to purchase. Contact me directly when paying by money order. Click on "How to Purchase" for more purchasing information.
As sterling silver and goldfilled prices climb for beads and other elements used in my designs, I may use different metals for some items. All pieces are clearly marked describing the metals used in each piece.
Showcase
From time to time I will showcase one of my designs on the front page. Gift wrap is included for the Showcase items.
Kiva
A portion of my profits from my website sales goes to kiva.org which "is a non-profit that is revolutionizing the fight against global poverty by enabling people to connect with and make personal loans—of as little as $25—to low-income entrepreneurs in the developing world. Most of the poor in developing countries are self-employed entrepreneurs and a small loan to purchase business-related items such as sewing machines or livestock can empower them to earn their way out of poverty." (From Kiva's Brochure)
For sales made at local venues, a portion of my profit goes to a local charity.
